All four products are injectable forms of the botulinum toxin that can be used to temporarily minimize the appearance of wrinkles on the upper face that can give away your age. They offer you a fast and convenient way to restore or maintain a more youthful appearance. They all work by disrupting neurotransmitters in your facial muscles, which allows them to relax and smooth your skin.

The main difference between the products comes down largely to their molecular weights, which affects how the products disperse after injection.

Botulinum toxin has been used for over three decades as a safe and effective means of minimizing dynamic wrinkles. The companies producing these products have excellent safety profiles. And the product remains at the site of injection without spreading systematically throughout the body.

Avoid certain pain meds such as, Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Toradol, etc
Avoid supplements such as Fish oil, vitamin E, Garlic pills, Ginkgo Biloba pills, Ginseng pills
Avoid caffeine and alcohol
Avoid blood thinning medication such as Warfarin

All four products have somewhat different times before results are noticed. The onset of results for the various products are typically:
Dysport – 24 hours
Xeomin – 4 days
Botox – 72 hours
Jeuveau 24- 48 hours
* These periods are just for the onset of results. Keep in mind that after this time period, all four products provide full results within 7 to 14 days.

Make sure to eat before your injectable appointment as it reduce the chance of feeling lightheaded
Please allow enough time for your appointment as time delays may potentially occur
Make sure to show up to your appointment 10-15 minutes before your time to fill out paperwork at the office. I can’t take you back until your paperwork is done as any delays will cut into your numbing time.
Try to show up to your appointment with no makeup on if possible as it will make it easier to clean the area before injecting.

Nothing lasts forever, and wrinkle relaxers are no exception. They typically began wearing off in about three or four months. Many patients prefer to go ahead and schedule a follow-up treatment with Austin Aesthetics at that time so that there is no noticeable gap between their treatment sessions.

Do not lie down flat or bend over for 4 hours after treatment
No facial massages or micro needling for 2 weeks
No alcohol or exercising for 24-48 hours
No makeup on the area for at least 4-6 hours
